Alyssa Hollingsworth is a photographer based out of Rome, Georgia. She has experience in children, student, senior and family portraits, as well as engagement and wedding photography. Pricing:PHOTOGRAPHYBase Rate: $75 per hour shooting (minimum of half an hour)Student Discount: From $50 per hour (inquire for details)EDITING AND PRINTINGSelect images from the shoot will be edited. At this time there is no additional cost for editing. A CD of both edited and original pictures will be provided for no charge. The Story
The Story
Everyone has a story. The student announcing a graduation, the boy seeing Times Square for the first time, or the Afghan girl looking out at the dangerous street: All of these stories are beautiful, all are unique. As a creative writer, stories have always fascinated me. When I first began to take pictures, what attracted me was the ability to capture a story in a single shot. My camera became my pen.I strive to capture my subjects' stories in my photography. While there is a time and a place for standard portraiture, my real passion is capturing more than a blank smile. I love to capture a bit of the personality, history or interests of my subjects, to provide a window into my subjects' life. The picture to the right is from my first paid photo session. The subject: Dylan, a High School senior. Dylan lived in Mississippi, on the Gulf Coast, when Katrina hit and his home was swept away. The water rose to the railroad tracks before it began to recede. During our shoot, we spent some time at this railroad--a symbol of moving on, of travel, but also, for Dylan, a symbol of standing on the edge of the storm. He was beginning his journey into adulthood, about to enter college. In many ways, he was stepping out on the edge. Dylan's is just one tale. Let me capture your story.- Alyssa Hollingsworth
